matteo,

one year ago today, you came into this world and we were forever changed. never in a million years could we have imagined how much love and joy you would bring into our lives. you have so much light in your soul, that it radiates out of you and makes everything around so much brighter. our hearts are so filled and each day continues to get better. you made us a mamma and a papa and that is the greatest gift we could have ever been given. thank you for your smiling face, contagious laugh, morning snuggles, opened mouth kisses,  daily serenades,  wicked dance moves, for teaching us to slow down and see things through your eyes, and  most importantly, for your unconditional love. you truly are the love of our lives and  the air in our lungs. we can’t wait for many more adventures with you. happy 1st birthday potato! we love you!

did you know? matteo edition 3

 our ridiculously handsome,  incredibly lovable

sweet, smiley,squishy baby boy is almost 10 months!!!

every month seems to get better, but we are really loving this age.

he’s always happy and puts light in our life every day.

he imitates everything we do now and is practically on the run.

so we wanted to share a little bit about this

yummy little lover of ours!

  1. he has four teeth
  2. his favorite foods are avocado, beets, and blueberries
  3. his laugh is contagious
  4. he looks ridiculously handsome in blue
  5. he loves to give kisses
  6. he waves hello
  7. he thinks mamma is the greatest singer (don’t tell him otherwise)
  8. he pulls himself up on everything (we’ll have a walker her soon)

the past six months…..

…..i can’t believe he’s mine…..

^^^^^^^

it pretty amazing how much a little baby can change in just six months,

and change you for that matter.

it’s like you can’t take your eyes off of them for one second

in fear that your going to miss their next big discovery,

or the first of many little things they do in their precious beginning months of life,

like giggling, rolling over, discovering their hands, or imitating you.

they help you to stop and enjoy the little thing in life

because you realize how mesmerized they are

 at their first sight of rain, or smelling a flower, or noticing a shadow in the dark

or hearing a happy song or feeling the wind hit their face.

and each day your love for them grows so much that you feel like your heart is going to burst.

you can’t remember what life was like before them, nor do you want to.

i only wish i could pause certain moments in time

because i know that it will all be gone in the blink of an eye.

so i find my self writing down all the special moments, every first, little colds,

likes and dislikes, and everything in between

so i can look back one day and remember how my life was forever changed by this little baby.

hey guys!

so it’s not that i don’t love blogging anymore,

cuz i truly do,

it’s just that it’s getting harder with and infant over here.

i find my self spending all my “spare time”

(if that exists anymore)

doing stuff for my little man.

but just to give you an idea of what’s been going on around here,

i wanted to post a,

here, there and everywhere we go….

two years to eternity…..

mr. and mrs.

two years ago today

was one of the happiest days of my life.

i got to marry this guy!

since then, so much has changed

and we’ve learned and grown

as we continue to find out new things about each other.

i can’t imagine my life without him

and i feel so lucky to call him my husband.

i can’t believe that baby matteo is one month old today.

on one hand this has been the most amazing month of my life,

and on the other hand i’m sad that time is just flying by.

matteo is growing and changing every day

and we are just so in love.

life before him just doesn’t seem like it even existed.

so as most of you know, our bundle of joy is here!!!

for those of you who have children,

you understand what the first couple of weeks are like,

therefore you understand why the blog has been neglected.

so please forgive me.

here and there…… (before baby)

so here i am into my 39th week of pregnancy trying to be as patient as possible for this little guy to come.

and as easy and wonderful as my pregnancy has been,

i must say this has to be the hardest part.

…..waiting…..

“come out baby boy, we want to meet you”

with all this time on my hands (which i know i will miss)

i’ve sort of run out of things to do.

i’ve washed every article of clothing in this house,

pretty much redecorated my downstairs,

refurnished a piece of furniture,

and the list goes on.

i know what your thinking, then why haven’t i revealed the nursery yet?

i am waiting on one small item and then

i promise I’ll reveal it.

if baby doesn’t get here before then!

but until then, here are a few pics
