a space for baby…..

so as most of you know, our bundle of joy is here!!!

for those of you who have children,

you understand what the first couple of weeks are like,

therefore you understand why the blog has been neglected.

so please forgive me.

we had a newborn photo session done,

so pictures of our delicious little man will be coming soon!!!

but for now

the long-awaited nursery reveal is here!!!

and of course my amazing husband who did too many things to mention.

the curtain rod was custom-made by us with pipes that we painted.

the dresser is a found antique

the mirror is from homegoods,

the accent table is from target

the faux fur throw is from ikea

i hope it was worth the wait!!!

we sure do think it’s the perfect place for our little man to grow.

here and there…… (before baby)

so here i am into my 39th week of pregnancy trying to be as patient as possible for this little guy to come.

and as easy and wonderful as my pregnancy has been,

i must say this has to be the hardest part.

…..waiting…..

“come out baby boy, we want to meet you”

with all this time on my hands (which i know i will miss)

i’ve sort of run out of things to do.

i’ve washed every article of clothing in this house,

pretty much redecorated my downstairs,

refurnished a piece of furniture,

and the list goes on.

i know what your thinking, then why haven’t i revealed the nursery yet?

i am waiting on one small item and then

i promise I’ll reveal it.

if baby doesn’t get here before then!

but until then, here are a few pics

here and there and everywhere we go

hopefully the next couple posts will be all about baby!

the bump…..

here it is as promised.

the latest on the bump situation.

we’re getting close to the end here

and i’m getting anxious to meet this little baby.

don’t hate me moms out there, but this pregnancy has been wonderful.

i still feel great, my hair and nails are amazing and besides this vegas heat

i’m actually still comfortable.

i hope i’m not speaking too soon when i say, i love being pregnant,

but i kinda do!!!

the hard part is all this waiting.

waiting to see who he’ll looks like,

waiting to see him smile

his smell and cry, those tiny fingers and toes,

and everything else there is to discover.

we can’t wait to share him with all of you guys as well.

ps. just trying to finish up a few little details before the nursery reveal,

so hope you guys stick around.

i think it will be worth it!

solo trip …..

the husby and i took a little trip to the central coast

for the 4th of july.

this was our last trip together

before baby boy gets here.

it’s kinda crazy as the holidays go by,

that come september

we will never be alone for a holiday again.

we can’t wait to share our life with this little man.

a baby shower…..

we are feeling very spoiled over here these days.

the baby shower was this past weekend

and with all the love, support and gifts we received,

we sure are feeling blessed.

plus packages are arriving at our door step almost everyday!

it’s like christmas, except the gift we’re getting

is the greatest gift in the whole world

i have to thank my family, (mom&sisters) for putting together an amazing shower

and my friends genevieve and jennifer for helping

bring all the details to life.

we’ll never forget this special day as long as we live.

we would also like to thank everyone who has

been a part of this amazing adventure we’re on.

we can’t thank you all enough and we can’t wait for you all to share

in our little ones life.

happy birthday to me…..

i don’t know if it’s cuz the big 3-0 isn’t till next year

or the fact that baby boy is on the way

but i really just wanted a low-key birthday this year.

so spending the day with family and close friends at sunday brunch

sounded right up my alley.

but my birthday wish came true when

the husby surprised me by coming home early from his trip!

a night at home and a dinner at my favorite pizza shop

couldn’t have made my day more perfect!

i feel like i’ve been pretty boring these days

when i’m not at work, i’m working on the nursery

did you know?… baby edition…

i use to do these “did you know” blogs in the beginning

to give you guys a chance to learn some funny facts about us,

so then i thought, why not let you know what baby boy

has put in our head these days.

he was ready for babies years before she was
she always thought she’d have all her kids before 30
he thought she was pregnant with a girl
she knew all along it was a boy
he thinks she should drink espresso so the baby comes out liking it (it’s an italian thing)
she doesn’t drink caffeine let alone espresso
they plan to teach their baby italian
he wants a little soccer player
she never liked the color red and it somehow made it in the nursery
they can’t seem to agree on a name
they think this is going to be one of their greatest adventures

a mother…..

so i guess today i am celebrating my first mother’s day.

kinda weird since i haven’t seen my little one, or touched him,

or even heard him cry,

i can feel him in there though and i know he’s mine.

i feel so lucky to be able to create this little life inside me

and i can’t wait to be his mamma.

happy mother’s day to the woman who i hope to live up to,

my mamma!

i have learned so much from you as a mother and a wife,

you’re amazing, period.

when my little man gets here,

i truly hope he sees me the way i see you.
